Lesson Recap: Jesus healed Simon’s mother-in-law and many others. Then, he woke up early to get away and spend time with God praying.
At home (bedtime, car rides, mealtime etc.):
Pray- the Lord’s Prayer
Discuss- What prayers can/do we pray as a family? Do we have a mealtime prayer? A bedtime prayer? Do we pray for each other?
Wonder Together- I wonder how Jesus felt after a day of healing people? [tired, worn out]
I wonder why Jesus wanted to get up early the next day and pray? [to listen to God, ask God what to do, thank God for healing the people]. I wonder what Jesus prayed about?
I wonder what it was like to be sick and then healed by Jesus… I wonder what other people thought about this healing?
Activity- Make a card for someone who is having a hard time, is alone, or sick. Pray for that person to be comforted by Jesus.
