We are All Part of God’s Work
Intro: Life with God is good because God is good.
Lesson Recap: Jesus’ idea of justice or mercy emphasizes generosity, not giving to each person what they deserve.
At home (bedtime, car rides, mealtime etc.):
Ask- How would you feel if you got the same reward as someone who did not work as hard as you? Do you think the farmer acted fairly toward the workers? Why or why not?
Say- God’s love is given to us freely and generously, no matter what we do!
Wonder Together- I wonder who the farmer might be in this story? I wonder how we can be generous to others this week? I wonder if we can take time this week to notice and be grateful for the gifts God gives us?
Pray- Loving God, help us see and appreciate the wonderful gifts you give us. Give us grateful, generous hearts. Amen.
