St. Francis of Assisi
Intro: Life with God is good because God is good.
Lesson Recap: We remember our connection to all Creation and are inspired by St. Francis to live simply and peacefully.
At home (bedtime, car rides, mealtime etc.):
Ask- What do you think St. Francis meant when he said, “When people serve the poor, they are serving Christ himself”? How can we model our lives after Jesus?
Say- St. Francis answered God’s call to serve others, especially the poor and the sick.
Wonder Together- I wonder why St. Francis gave animals names like brother and sister? I wonder how we can care for animals and creation?
Pray- Loving God, help us care for each other, the earth, the poor, and the sick like St. Francis. Amen.
