Putting it Together
Intro: Life with God is good because God is good.
Lesson Recap: Jesus teaches his disciples how to settle disputes. (From Matthew 18:15-20)
At home (bedtime, car rides, mealtime etc.):
Ask- Can you remember a time you had a disagreement with a sibling, friend, or someone else? What are the steps Jesus gave us to make peace and put the relationship back together?
Say- When we forgive and make peace with others, our church and our community become whole.
Wonder Together- I wonder how it makes you feel when someone disagrees with you or is not kind to you? I wonder how we can speak kindly to someone even if we are frustrated? I wonder why it was important to Jesus to teach people how to get along?
Pray- Loving God, help us forgive and make peace with others. Guide our eyes, ears, mouth, hands, and feet as we live life with you. Amen.
