Lent 5 - Seeds of Hope

Little Church | March 17, 2024 | Lent 5 – Seeds of Hope

We had fun processing into Big Church with our snake craft! Then we helped St. Patrick drive out the snakes from St. Peter's playground in a "snake hunt."

During Little Church, we learned from the Gospel lesson. Jesus was teaching his friends and other people who were curious about him how he was going to be glorified. He used the example of how a seed falling to the ground and dying will bear much fruit. We planted some wheat grass seeds to see if they will grow by Easter!

Lesson Recap: Seeds die, grow new plants, and more seeds are made (John 12:20-33)

At home (bedtime, car rides, mealtime etc.):

Pray: Loving God, help us trust you are growing us from tiny seeds into plants with fruit!

Wonder Together- I wonder why Jesus compared himself to seeds?

I wonder what is happening beneath the soil when we plant a seed?

I wonder why this story is important?

I wonder what this story teaches us?

I wonder if there are other examples of things that die to bring more life?
